The Manual Handling Operations Regulations require the Employer to eliminate manual handling where a significant risk of harm exists. Where this cannot be done then a Manual Handling Assessment must be undertaken. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations require the Employer to provide manual handling training appropriate to the workplace activities undertaken.
